Seismic clearly indicated a southerly extension of the Semblana deposit and a new copper sulphide deposit south of Semblana. Several new exploration targets was discovered and identified near the Neves-Corvo mine after applying high-resolution 3D seismic survey.
Preliminary results have clearly imaged the major Semblana deposit, verifying the effectiveness of this new tool in the search for blind massive sulphide deposits. Lundin Mining applied high-resolution 3D seismic survey over a 21 square kilometre area surrounding the Neves-Corvo mine in Portugal.
