What is Hard Rock Seismic?

Acquisition

Selecting the right source and receiver is critical to achieving the desired data quality and project objectives. HiSeis has a selection of source types available depending on the project & environment and uses the highest quality receiver nodes available.

Vibroseis

HiSeis has a fleet of Inova AHV-IV (60,000lb) and Univibs (23,000lb) trucks. Vibes are the best source for high-noise environments such as around minesites. Images greater than 1km depths.

Weight Drop

Gravitational weight drop uses a 750kg gravity driven weight. It is transported on a vehicle such as bobcat or light vehicle. An accelerated wight drop (AWD) can also be used. Great for uncleared areas.

Seismic Boosters

Gravitational weight drop uses a 750kg gravity driven weight. It is transported on a vehicle such as bobcat or light vehicle. An accelerated wight drop (AWD) can also be used. Great for heavily vegetated or steep and rocky terrain.

LNT (Leave No Trace)

The LNT source is light weight and hand held. The LNT is ideal for low-noise environments where imaging is focussed on less than 500m depth. Great for restricted areas with sensitive environmental or heritage exclusions.

Processing

HiSeis uses proprietary high-end processing approaches specifically adapted to complex hard rock environments. The processing stage is a collaborative process between our Acquisition and Interpretation teams to ensure the highest quality outputs are achieved.

Interpretation

HiSeis team of geoscientists and structural geologists have examined more hard rock seismic data than any other group of geologists on the planet. Their experience ranges from gold and base metals through to iron ore, CO2 storage, exploration and mining. This experience combined with HiSeis latest digital solutions provide clients with the most comprehensive and accurate geological models possible.
